The first meet of the season went quite well for the Webster City Middle School Cross Country team. Both the boys and girls race had around 150 participants. The races were highly competitive. In the boys race, Mason Powers ran exceptionally well placing 10^th in a time of 13:06. Cory Woodhouse, a 7^th grader, ran his first race ever placing 48^th in the field of 7^th and 8^th grade boys. In the girls race, we had some nice pack running. The first five girls to finish were within one minute of each other. Sarah Johnson led the way for the girls race in 50^th place with a time of 15:53. Finishing right behind her was Erica Just in 52^nd place (16:04) and Chambre Wisdom in 57^th place (16:14). Each runner had a solid first race of the season, and I can’t wait to see their improvement.
