COACH BUSSAN’S COMMENTS: While it was disappointing for our girls to not qualify, they have accomplished a great deal. Our seniors can take great pride in the careers that they have had and in the way they have built upon the tradition of our program. We were just not healthy enough at the end of the season to take on the challenge from improved conference and district opponents. Kelsey ran a great race and will do a great job of representing all of the girls at the state meet. Emily Long also had a solid race. Paige Bonjour accomplished a lot in her first season of cross country and was very respectable in 19th place. Becky Perin had her best race of the season. Shannon Kane continued to battle some very sore feet and gave a valiant effort. Seniors Ashley Hanson and Jessi Severson rounded out our squad. While several seniors now conclude their careers, our future remains bright with Emily, Paige and Becky returning along with a few top J.V. runners who will be joined by an outstanding 8th grade middle school class.
