COACH BUSSAN’S AND COACH LAMBERT’S COMMENTS:  It was great to take the 9 athletes who volunteered to participate in this post season race.  Our 8th grade girls competed very well in the large school class of the meet.  A year ago as 7th graders, they had been beaten by Waukon by 3 points to finish 2nd.  The girls were able to defeat the same group of Waukon runners, however, this years meet was attended by a number of large 4A schools which were able to move in front of us.  Our ability to compete with this level of competition bodes well for the future.  A number of these athletes will have opportunities to make our varsity next season.

While we did not have scoring teams, the two boys who attended the meet did a fine job.  They equaled their efforts of the conference meet and finished off very good seasons.
