COACH BUSSAN’S COMMENTS:
Our boys have really come together as a team. We essentially had a one minute spread in our
scoring pack. It has been several years
since that has been the case. The fact
that we have a rotating top five, with any one individual stepping forward to
lead is evidence that we are running as a team.
Jesse Ogg had a fantastic race. Alex Flege returned
to form after battling a stitch at Algona.
Nick Barnes was very solid. Ben
Lambert and Aaron Bieker also had excellent
races. Drew Hunt and Cole Hippen were very solid as well. This course is the hilliest we have run on
and year to year the boys run one minute slower than on most of the other
courses. To win the meet by nearly seventy points is a real tribute to the
effort being put forth by the guys. On
the J.V. side, we had a number of excellent efforts. Peter Odegard,
Chris Gordon and Brandon Hicok all had solid
efforts. Zach Turner and Brad Smith had
their best races to this point. We will
now prepare for the Ft. Dodge Invitational on Thursday and look forward to the
opportunity to face 4A competition on the state meet course. The meet begins at
